Third Judicial District offers free legal assistance clinics |

WALSENBURG, Colo. – Residents of Colorado’s Third Judicial District (Huerfano and Las Animas counties) representing themselves in civil and domestic relations matters may receive free legal assistance from the district’s Self-Help Center at monthly clinics.
The clinics, sponsored by the Third Judicial District Access to Justice Committee, run from 1:30-4:30 p.m. the second Monday of each month at the Spanish Peaks Library at 415 Walsen Avenue in Walsenburg.
Litigants can print forms at no charge and receive help from the self-represented litigant coordinator and family court facilitator on a range of matters including dissolution of marriage, parenting time and custody, child support, evictions, small claims, garnishments, protection orders and guardianship/conservator issues.
The next clinic will occur April 11, with other clinics scheduled for May 9, June 13, July 11, Aug. 8 and Sept. 12.
