Judge Vigil was appointed as Bent County Judge in the Sixteenth Judicial District on February 7, 2013. He is classified as a 20% judge and currently works in private practice in Las Animas.

 

Judge Vigil earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico and a Juris Doctorate form Tulane University Law School.

 

Prior to his current position, he worked as the Deputy District Attorney for the 16^th Judicial District and practiced criminal law at Hudson Legal.
