Judge Bruce Billings was appointed County Judge of Las Animas County on December 30, 2002, and assumed the bench on March 3, 2003. Prior to his appointment, he served as Trinidad City Attorney from 1983 to 2003. He also previously served as a Deputy District Attorney in Montrose County and Las Animas County. Judge Billings graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1977, and was admitted to practice in Colorado later that year.
Judge Billings is also an adjunct faculty member of Trinidad State Junior College in Trinidad.
Judge Billings currently hears civil cases under $15,000, small claims, misdemeanor, and traffic cases. |
