Pueblo Combined Courts at the Dennis Maes Judicial Buidling houses records for the 10th Judicial District/Pueblo County and Water Division 2. We do not house Pueblo Municipal Court records. 

 

How can I reach the records department?

The records department can be reached:

By coming in-person to the records department on the 2nd Floor of the Dennis Maes Judicial Building. Their hours can be found here.

How can I obtain court records?

You have the greatest likelihood of obtaining the records you want by filing a Research Request (form below) via email to the above address or visiting the records department directly.

 

Where is the records department located?

The records department is located on the second floor of the Dennis Maes Judicial Building, 501 N. Elizabeth Street, Pueblo, CO 81003.

 

Will I need to pay a fee for a records search?

There is a fee for a for a records search. The current fees can be viewed at the top of the Record Research form. There is a small fee for the search itself and additional per-page fee for the documents you obtain. These fees are not waivable.

 

Can the records department release information over the phone?

There are limitations for privacy and confidentiality, so it is not guaranteed court staff will be able to release information to you over the phone. It is best to either file a research request or visit the records department in person.

 

What will I need to bring if I'm planning on visiting the records department in person?

Please bring photo identification. It is sometimes required to give our records and/or information.

 

Does the records department complete background checks?

No. While our records department can provide records from cases in Pueblo County, they can't complete background checks. Please contact the Pueblo Police Department to obtain background checks.

 

How do I get a copy of divorce paperwork?

The Decree, which states the divorce is final, is generally public information and can be obtained by coming into the Dennis Maes Judicial Building or by filing a Research Request Form. The Separation Agreement, Parenting Plan, and/or Memorandum of Understanding (any documents relating to children and/or finances) are NOT public information. Those documents are protected by the court and only available to parties of the case. Valid photo identification must be presented to obtain these documents in person. If emailing the request, a copy of your photo identification must be attached.
