Summary Of Job Classification:
The ITS Business Operations Analyst I is responsible for supporting, coordinating, and assisting in the administration of business operations for the ITS Department for the Colorado Judicial Branch. Also responsible for assisting in the managing of the IT organization’s fiscal processes and processing.
Essential Functions Of the Position:

In conjunction with the IT Business Operations Manager, assists with budget and project costing and work tracking of internal technology projects utilizing Managed Services Contractors - including but not limited to Scope Of Work documents and Managed Services.

With the IT Business Operations Manager, assist as a liaison with the ITS team for budget, purchasing, contracting, and accounting processes.

Assists with vendors and payment schedules to ensure payments to vendors are submitted for payment timely and in compliance with Fiscal Rules and Procedures.

Maintains a current working knowledge of trends in industry and judiciary to assist the IT Business Operations Manager with their core functions.

Maintains and enters data for the software asset catalog to assure compliance and fiscal responsibility.

Assists in purchases, contracts, licenses, and renewals for assets; helps review contracts, licenses, and requests for quotes (RFQs).

Ensures compliance with hardware and software contracts, licenses, copyright, and other applicable laws/ regulations as well as SCAO Policies; regularly audits and reports on software installation, usage, and compliance including re-allocation of licenses.

Identifies savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services.

Assists in the development of reporting to address the management requirements to obtain information.

Enters and maintains information in the data repository to address and support budgeting, software compliance, inventory, contracting, and costing.

Tracks cost and efforts of internally developed software projects to assist with financial reporting requirements.

Attends meetings and trainings as required.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Fiscal Responsibility:
Position has moderate fiscal responsibility. May be responsible for the billing, collection, and/or accounting of funds. May be responsible for the handling and balancing of cash.

Minimum Education:

Associate degree or 60 college hours in related field.

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE
Minimum two (2) years of working experience related to IT business operations/experience related to the essential functions of the job classification.

Physical Effort Requirements

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
