General Statement Of Duties:
Provides technical support to the Human Resources Division of the Colorado Judicial Branch, specifically in the areas of criminal history checks and employee data and credentialing.
Distinguishing Factors:
The Human Resources Technician position is distinguished from HR Analyst positions due to the administrative emphasis on employee data generation, reporting and credentialing.  The position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.
Essential Functions Of the Position:
Develops, implements, and maintains reports as determined by the human resources department.
 
Submits various weekly, monthly and annual reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data from various state database systems.
 
Serves as the judicial department’s point of contact for all employment related background and criminal history checks.
 
Establishes credential File/S; Initiates process and follow up of all credential forms; Verifies current licensure, certifications and other Colorado Judicial Department legal requirements.
 
Tracks data, facilitates client requests, performs data analysis, and works with various technology teams to improve system reporting. 
 
Coordinates a variety of special reporting and analysis initiatives, including identifying and developing new operational and strategic performance measures and extracting and analyzing data for workforce planning and all ad-hoc analysis as it relates to the human resources function. 
 
Assist the human resources team in carrying out various human resource programs, policies and procedures as they relate to data and credentialing assignments.
 
Attends meetings and training as required.
 
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
No formal supervisory responsibility.  Responsibility for one's own work product and work within a unit performing similar functions.  Occasionally provides lead function, advice, and explains work instructions to other employees or volunteers.
Minimum Education:
Minimum of two years course work at an accredited college or university in the field of finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources, or related field plus two years of office experience.  An additional two years of office experience may be substituted for the required formal education.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to sit and reach with hands and arms and perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
This position is subject to many interruptions and may be required to handle multiple calls and inquiries at once.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
