Honorable Thomas K. Kane
Judge Kane was appointed to the District Court on September 16, 1994. Judge Kane was born and raised in Colorado Springs, graduating from St. Mary's High School in 1970. He attended the University of Colorado as an undergraduate and graduated with distinction in 1974. He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1977.
Prior to his appointment to the District Court bench, Judge Kane was an associate/partner in a civil litigation firm for seventeen years. He is a member of the Colorado Supreme Court Civil Rules Committee, the Colorado Supreme Court Committee For Jury Instructions - Civil, and The Caseflow Planning And Coordinating Committee. Judge Kane has served as a Trustee to the El Paso County Bar Association, chaired the Professionalism Committee of the El Paso County Bar Association and was elected President of that organization in 1994. He is a Fellow of the Colorado Bar Foundation and past President of the Ben Wendylken Inn of Court.
