TOPIC: Has the well run dry? Water law and population growth.

The June Law School for Journalists is scheduled for Wednesday, June 7, 2006, 8:30–10 a.m. This month’s distinguished panel will be 19th Judicial District Retired Judge Jonathan Hays, former chief judge and water judge in water division one; David Robbins, Hill & Robbins, P.C.; and Carrie Ciliberto, Ciliberto & Associates LLC. Michael Valdez, CBA’s Director of Legislative Relations will discuss legislative and policy issues related to water. The Colorado Bar Association and the Colorado Judicial Department have teamed up to create “Law School for Journalists,” a series of classes designed to provide reporters with basic information about the legal system and the judiciary. These free 1.5 hour sessions will take place one morning a month at the Colorado Bar Association, 1900 Grant St., 3rd floor conference room. Each session focuses on one primary area of the law.
