Eighth Judicial District to hold legal clinic on probate matters

Wednesday, January 13, 2016

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Eighth Judicial District (Jackson and Larimer counties) is offering free legal information clinics on probate, guardianship and conservatorship for self-represented litigants.

The clinics occur the third Tuesday of each month, beginning Jan. 19, 2016, in Jury Room A on the second floor of the Larimer County Justice Center (201 LaPorte Ave. in Fort Collins), from 2-4 p.m.

Clinics provide an overview of the duties and responsibilities of personal representatives, guardians and conservators. Staff also will be available to help with completing initial paperwork as well as annual guardian and conservator reports. Information will be presented by Registrar Mary Sampedro and Protective Proceedings Monitor Cheryl Colebank.

Attorneys will be available from 3-4 p.m. in 15-minute intervals on a first-come, first-served basis to discuss simple probate issues in a one-time informational session that does not constitute an attorney-client relationship.

For more information, contact Sampedro at 970-494-3506 or Colebank at 970-494-3507.
