20th Judicial District Judicial Performance Commission to hold public input hearing

BOULDER, Colo. – The 20th Judicial District Judicial Performance Commission will  hold a public hearing on May 15, 2018, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Courtroom F at the Boulder County Justice Center, 1777 Sixth Street, Boulder, CO 80302, to take input on 20th Judicial District Judges eligible for retention in the 2018 general election.

The Judges to be evaluated this year are: District Court Judge Thomas Mulvahill, District Court Judge Norma Sierra, County Court Judge David Archuleta, and County Court Judge Elizabeth Brodsky. 

Any person interested in commenting on the performance of these judges may speak at this hearing and/or provide a written letter to the Commission.  The Commission will only entertain comments on Judges listed above at this public input hearing. Comments regarding other judges can be submitted to the Office of Judicial Performance Evaluation for consideration by the Commission when they next evaluate that particular judge.  Written letters may be sent to:  Patrick Haines, Public Information Liaison-20th Judicial District Judicial Performance Commission, 1712 Pearl Street, Boulder, CO  80302.  Letters must include the name and address of the person submitting the comments, and the judge will receive a copy of the letter.  All letters must be received by May 15, 2018.  Please contact Amy Waddle, (303) 441-3882, by May 4, 2018, to make arrangements for interpreter needs or Americans with Disabilities accommodations.

The Judicial Performance Commission will be evaluating information about the performance of judges to provide voters with a ‘Meets Performance Standards’ or ‘Does Not Meet Performance Standards’ recommendation for the Blue Books distributed to all voters before the November election.
