Allison P. Ernst to be sworn in as new District Court Judge in Pueblo

PUEBLO – Following Governor John Hickenlooper’s November appointment of Allison P. Ernst to the District Court Bench for the 10th Judicial District (Pueblo County), Ernst will be sworn in by District Court Judge Kim Karn on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 at 4 p.m. in Division 401 of the Dennis Maes Pueblo Judicial Building (501 N. Elizabeth Street, Pueblo, CO 81003). Ernst fills the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. David W. Crockenberg.

Prior to joining the Court, Ernst was a partner at Becker & Ernst, LLC, where her practice consisted primarily of criminal and domestic relations matters. Additionally, she served as a member and secretary of the City of Pueblo Zoning Board of Appeals. Before entering private practice, Ernst was a Deputy Colorado State Public Defender in Pueblo. She also completed an Equal Justice Works Fellowship at the Michigan State University College of Law Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. Ernst earned her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and her J.D. from the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University.
