If you have received a district-wide Grand Jury summons, all jurors MUST REPORT on Tuesday, June 23rd, unless you have been notified otherwise by the Jury Commissioner’s office. Please report to the MONTROSE COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER, 1200 N GRAND AVE in MONTROSE, by 9:30 AM, and bring your completed summons with you. If you have not submitted your confidential questionnaire, please bring it with you completed as well. Please be prepared to go through Security. Security personnel will not permit any beverages, cell phones or electronic devices, including e-readers and tablets, in the building on June 23rd, so please leave these items in your vehicle. Guns, knives, sharp objects, lighters, glass containers, metal water bottles or knitting needles are not allowed in the building at any time. You might want to bring reading material (no E-Readers, Tablets or newspapers) as jury selection may take several hours. Short breaks and light refreshments will be offered. Since courtroom benches are wooden, if you have difficulty sitting for more than 1 hour at a time, you might also want to bring a small cushion for added comfort. No requests for postponement or disqualification will be processed at this time as they had to be submitted in writing NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, JUNE 19TH. No telephone requests will be processed for the district-wide Grand Jury. Also, childcare arrangements need to be made as children are not allowed in the courtroom during the jury selection process.
Further updates for the Montrose Combined Courts will be made at a later date.
