COVID Notice to Jurors from Chief Judge Howard

JUROR COVID-19 HEALTH SELF-ASSESSMENT 

Notice Regarding COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) and Jury Operations:

The courts of the 8th Judicial District understand people may be concerned for their personal safety during this time, the 8th Judicial District has implemented a jury trial plan that has been approved by the Larimer County Department of Public Health and Environment and by the Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court. These safety precautions, including maintaining distancing between jurors, requiring the wearing of masks with limited exceptions and cleaning and disinfecting of public areas, will be a priority to assure juror safety and comfort during juror service. Please review the following:

  • Were you diagnosed with COVID-19 and you have not received a subsequent test confirming you are currently virus-free?

  • Within the last 14 days, have you been in direct contact with someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19?

  • Are you experiencing fever, cough, shortness of breath, or any other symptoms of COVID-19?.

If you answered "yes" to any of the above, do not come to the courthouse. Please notify the Jury Commissioner at 970-393-3555 or by email at larimerjury@judicial.state.co.us prior to your scheduled reporting date and your jury service will be postponed.

  •  Are you a high-risk individual as defined by the CDC? This may also include an individual living in the same household with a high-risk individual. If so, and you would like to have your jury service postponed, contact the Jury Commissioner at 970-494-3555 or by email at larimerjury@judicial.state.co.us.

Jurors will be required to wear a mask in the courthouse. Please bring one with you. If you are unable to bring your own maks, one will be provided for you. Additionally, jurors who report for jury service should take steps to protect themselves by frequent cleaning their hands and avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands. You will be permitted to bring your own bottle of hand sanitizer, wipes, gloves and writing implements.

To check the status of your trial click on the "Choose this Location" below based on the reporting location listed in the pink box on your summons.  If you need to request a postponement or disqualification, click on "Choose this Location" and then click on the POSTPONEMENT TAB or the DISQUALIFICATION TAB.
