Each year, the Court's caseload averages 1750 active probate actions; 450 lodged wills, 250 deposited wills; over 600 trust registrations; and, nearly 1200 new mental health cases.
This caseload is the responsibility of one probate judge and one part-time probate magistrate.
Judge Elizabeth D. Leith was sworn in July 1, 2011; retention is to be considered in November 2020.
Magistrate Beth A. Tomerlin was sworn in March 2, 2018; she is appointed by the probate judge.
In addition to the Judge and Magistrate, Amber Roth serves as the District Administrator and the Clerk of Court.
There are 9.50 F.T.E. additional support staff positions in the court. These positions include division clerks, law clerks, registrar, court judicial assistants, and an administrative assistant.
