If you believe you missed your jury service date, please check the REPORTING SCHEDULE to see if your juror number was called BEFORE contacting the jury office.
If you submitted a request for a postponement of your jury service, you will only be contacted if your request for postponement is NOT granted. While we respond to all other communication as soon as possible, please allow 3 full business days for a response. Please do not submit multiple requests.

DISQUALIFICATON INFORMATION: Disqualifications are granted only if you do not meet the qualifications listed on the jury summons. There are NO disqualifications allowed due to employment issues, occupation, school, childcare issues, religious beliefs, felony convictions, or age. Persons requesting disqualification for any of these reasons will need to appear as summoned and requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis, based on the answers under oath of the individual during the jury selection.
If you do not meet one of the juror qualifications listed in your summons, you can apply for a disqualification or postponement. Please refer to the blue section of your summons for instructions on how to submit a written request. We DO NOT grant requests over the phone. To apply for a disqualification online, click on the "Disqualification" tab above. A doctor's note is required for ALL medical and caregiver disqualifications. Jurors may have their doctor fax a note directly to this office at 970-549-9647 without filling out the disqualification form. The juror’s name, appearance date and juror number must be legibly printed on the fax. All doctor statements must state the duration of the excuse. Disqualifications must be received 5 BUSINESS days prior to your jury service.
STUDENT INFORMATION: Students are not automatically excused from jury service.
If the juror is a student within the State of Colorado, they have the option of postponing to a date they can attend in their home county within 6 months of their reporting date OR they can choose to be transferred to the county in which they attend school to complete their service.
If the juror is an out of state student, but still holds a driver's license or is registered to vote in the State of Colorado, then they are still required to serve. Out of state students may be granted a postponement of up to 12 months from their reporting date to a time when they are home for a break or holiday.
