Prior to her time at Holland & Hart, Judge Gomez was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Charles A. Pannell, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Education

Judge Gomez is a 1996 graduate of Millsaps College, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, was in the honors program, served as a teaching fellow, and participated as a member and officer of various leadership, academic, and service organizations.  She is a 2002 graduate of Harvard Law School, where she served on the Board of Student Advisors, was an editor and contributing author for the Harvard Journal on Legislation, and served as a volunteer and officer in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and as a student advocate at the Hale & Dorr Legal Services Center.

Civic/Charitable Activities

Judge Gomez served on the committee that formed the Colorado Bar Association Appellate Pro Bono Program (also known as the Full Representation Program) in 2010.  She chaired the program’s screening committee and worked on a handful of cases through the program from its inception up to the time she joined the bench.  In 2019, she formed and then served on the committee that created the Colorado Bar Association Civil Appeals Clinic.  The clinic, which officially launched in 2022, provides free legal consultations to self-represented litigants involved in civil appeals in the Colorado Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.
