Brittany A. Schneider - 14th Judicial District Judge

Brittany A. Schneider was raised on the Western Slope of Colorado and graduated from Rifle High School.  She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Oregon School of Law.

Brittany is licensed to practice law in the states of Colorado, Wyoming, and Washington, and during her eight years of practice prior to appointment, her practice areas included civil litigation, family law, dependency and neglect, and criminal law.

Brittany has lived and practiced law in both Colorado and Wyoming.  While living in Wyoming, she also served as an adjunct instructor for Eastern Wyoming College teaching courses in criminal law and procedure.

Brittany always knew that she wanted to return to Western Colorado and kept an eye out for career opportunities that would bring her home.  In March, 2018, Brittany and her family left Wyoming and moved to Craig, Colorado, where she accepted a position as a Deputy District Attorney in Moffat County for the 14th Judicial District.  She worked as a Deputy District Attorney until July, 2020, when she was appointed to serve as the Moffat County Court Judge.
