The Colorado Coordinating Council on Restorative Justice was created on March 29th 2007 upon the signing of HB 07-1129.  The statute enumerated several items of responsibility for the Council, which include, to the extent that resources permit:

  • To serve as a central repository for information;
  • To support the development of RJ programs;
  • To assist with education and training; and
  • To provide technical assistance as needed.

The Restorative Justice Council’s mission is to advance restorative justice principles and promote restorative justice throughout Colorado by providing a gateway to information, networking and support.
