PARKING INFORMATION: There are three options for parking for Jurors. They are listed for you here based on their proximity to the public entrance of the courthouse which is located at 270 South Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs. 1. The parking structure most conveniently located to the courthouse is 1 block south of the courthouse public entrance at 50 East Costilla Street. This parking structure is not only the most conveniently located, but has full handicap accessibility. The charge for parking in this structure is $2.00 per day for jurors. Your parking stub must be presented to the jury office for validation in order to receive the $2.00 rate, so please bring the parking stub with you when you report for jury duty. 2. The only free parking for jurors is in the open parking lot located at 310 South Cascade. There are 93 spaces in that lot in which jurors may park. You may not park in any of the 3 spots marked with a white sign that say "Reserved Parking ". You may park in the spots marked with red signs identifying juror parking. If you choose to park in this lot, please tear off the portion on your summons with the pink shaded area that shows your appearance date and place that on the dashboard of your car. This will keep you from being ticketed. 3. The 3rd option, and the one least convenient to the courthouse is the parking structure located at 255 South Sahwatch Street. The charge for parking in this structure is $2.00 per day for jurors. Your parking stub must be presented in the jury office for validation in order to receive the $2.00 rate, so please bring it with you when you report for jury duty. If you choose to park in any other parking structures in the downtown area, you will have to pay their fee for parking, and you will not get the $2.00 rate. We cannot validate parking stubs from any lots other than those listed above. Of course, you may park at unmetered spots on the street, but if you park at a meter it could result in parking tickets that can amount to as much as $50.00 per day. If you park in a private space or lot, you could be ticketed and or towed at your own expense. |
