Locate the date you are summoned to appear on the Reporting Schedule below to find the status of the trial. If the Status is “Report for Trial” , this means you should come to the third floor of the Courthouse at the time and date printed on your summons. If the Status is “DO NOT Report for Trial”, then you do not have to appear.
Be sure to check the web page the night before you are to report and telephone the court at 719-346-5524 Ext. 2 to verify your appearance is necessary. The jury web page is updated as new information is obtained. The only public access to the courthouse is on the south side, where there is a parking area. This is a secured entrance so please leave all sharp objects either in your car or at home.
Penalties for Failure to Obey a Juror Summons (sections 18-8-612 and 18-1.3-501, C.R.S.): A knowing failure to obey the summons without justifiable excuse is a violation of section 18-8-612, C.R.S. and a petty offense and is punishable as provided in section 18-1.3-503, C.R.S. A person who fails to obey a juror summons may be fined up to $500.00, or imprisoned for up to 6 (six) months, or both.
