The Judicial Advisory Council was established to study the needs of the judicial system; develop an intermediate and long-range plan for the judicial system; identify particular problems in the judicial system and to recommend solutions; recommend ways of improving the judicial system and to suggest appropriate measures to achieve the recommended improvements; provide guidance to the Chief Justice with respect to programs and activities that might be appropriately undertaken by the judicial system; coordinate planning efforts among groups and associations and governmental bodies concerned with improving the judicial system.
