Request For Postponement
Request for postponement MUST be made five (5) business days prior to your appearance date. Postponements will not be given the day you are scheduled to report for jury service.
To request a postponement please contact the Jury Commissioner via email: Jefferson County at jeffersonjury@judicial.state.co.us or Gilpin County at gilpinjury@judicial.state.co.us. Please include your full name, appearance date, juror number, and reason for the request in the email. Requests must be made at least five (5) business days prior to your appearance.
Reporting for Jury Duty
Please complete and sign your juror questionnaire, which is located on the back of your summons before reporting for jury service.
You will be permitted and encouraged to bring your own water in a non-glass bottle.
You may bring your own lunch and reading material. If you are appearing for jury duty at the Jefferson County Courthouse, there will be a food vendor in the atrium Monday and Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Please DO NOT bring metal silverware, knives, sewing scissors or glass bottles.
Please arrive at your designated time as posted on the website or on the recorded message and be prepared to stay until 5:00 p.m.
