There is a Legal Clinic available on the 3rd Friday of every month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Elbert County Court house located at 751 Ute Street in Kiowa and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Elizabeth Library. In addition, Elbert County residents may seek assistance from the Self-Help Center at the Douglas County Justice Center located at 4000 Justice Way in Castle Rock from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM Tuesday and Wednesday and 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM Friday. Friday the Center is staffed with a volunteer attorney who will answer domestic relations questions only. The attorney may leave early if no parties are present to assist; therefore it is advised that you be present at 8:30 for assistance. Staff may not give legal advice, but may provide information regarding forms and the legal process.
