Montrose Combined (District and County) Courts and Water Court, Division 4 are located at the Montrose County Justice Center, Court Building in Montrose, Colorado. The Court moved to the new Justice Center Complex in November of 1998. Also within this building complex you will find the Montrose County Sheriff's Administration Building, the Montrose County Jail and the Montrose County Work Release Center. In the Courts Building you will also find the Office of the Judicial District Administrator for the 7th Judicial District, the Montrose Office for the 7th Judicial District Probation Department, the Montrose Office of the 7th Judicial District Attorney and Montrose County Human Service's Office of Child Support Enforcement.
Trial Court personnel consists of the Clerk of Court and 11 Deputy clerks, two Collections Investigators, two District Court Judges, a County Court Judge, and two part-time Magistrates. A Spanish interpreter is also retained by the Courts to assist in official Court proceedings.

Montrose Associate County Court
The Montrose Associate County Court is located at the Montrose County Courthouse Annex - at Nucla, 300 Main Street, Nucla, Colorado. This court is approximately 100 miles from the Montrose County seat in the City of Montrose. The geographic or physical jurisdiction of the Montrose Associate County Court is in that portion of Montrose County that is in the Southwestern Water Conservation District as set forth and described in Colorado Revised Statutes (CRS) 37-47-103. The court jurisdiction is the same as any other county court in Colorado. A part-time County Judge is appointed to this court and a part-time clerk is employed by the district to handle the operations.
The Public Hours for the Montrose Combined Courts will be temporarily reduced during the contruction at the Justice Center. This will be effective immediately and thru December 31, 2012.
