Brief Description

Law School and Law Graduate Interns

Are you interested in watching what goes on behind the scenes at Court, honing your legal research and writing skills, being a bailiff for jury trials, and providing late-breaking emergency research for a judge who is about to make rulings from the bench?  If so, then becoming a law intern for a judge or magistrate in our district might be a perfect opportunity for you!

The Judges and Magistrates in the 18th Judicial District (Arapahoe and Douglas Counties) are currently accepting applications for law student and law graduate interns for the fall semester of 2014.  These internships are unpaid, but credit may be available through your school.

Please be aware that, for the duration of any internship you do with the 18th Judicial District, you may not simultaneously work or volunteer for any firm, corporation, organization, or entity that has a case pending in the 18th Judicial District (Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln Counties).

How to Apply:

If you are interested, please send a resume, short legal writing sample (3-5 pages), and a cover letter indicating the area(s) of law that interest you (civil, criminal, domestic/juvenile), to as soon as possible.  Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
