Frances Simonet - Magistrate

Fran Simonet’s professional training began at Gonzaga Law School in Spokane Washington where she was one of seven in the Thomas Moore Scholars Program. Her legal career started in 2001 as a Deputy State public Defender in the Brighton Regional Office where she tried more than 50 cases in both County and District Court. In 2004, she opened her own practice to explore other areas of the law, obtaining a contract with the Office of Alternate Defense Counsel and a contract with the US Federal Court. She also handled civil work and various types of Administrative Law. In 2011, she began teaching Continuing Legal Education classes. She is a member of the Park Hill Chicken Co-Op, as well as the Alumni Association for Gonzaga University School of Law.
