Judge Alexander was appointed to the District Court bench by Governor John Hickenlooper on April 28, 2012 and took the bench on June 1, 2012. He presently presides over Div. B and hears domestic relations, mental health, and truancy cases.
Alexander attended law school at the University of Denver, College of Law, graduating in 1990. He served as a Deputy State Public Defender until 1994, as a Magistrate in the 10th Judicial District (Pueblo) until 2002, and as a Municipal Judge for the City of Pueblo until 2012. He has previously been a member of a variety of local and state boards and commissions related to youth and family. He is married and has two children. |
