Joseph D. Findley - 8th Judicial District Judge

Joseph D. Findley graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2005.  He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism with honors (News Editorial) and a Bachelor of Art in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1999.  Judge Findley served as the Larimer County Deputy Public Administrator from March 31, 2008 until September 21, 2018.  He was appointed as the Larimer County Public Administrator on September 21, 2018, and served until September 30, 2021.

 

While at the University of Wyoming College of Law, Judge Findley published The Do-Not-Call Registry and Its Overwhelming Support: This Time Congress Really Means It, 5 Wyo. Law. Rev. 2 (2005); and received admission into the national Order of the Barristers for his performance in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition. He was awarded the 2012 Sally Henze Memorial Award by the Larimer County Adult Protection Team in recognition of his work to benefit at-risk adults in Larimer County.  His law practice focused on estate planning, probate, and related area of law.  He has served as board president of Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud, Inc.; obtained the rank of 1st Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo (Chang Hon); and lives in Loveland, Colorado, with his wife and two children.
