Judge Richard Caschette is a graduate of Fordham University and Syracuse Law School. Judge Caschette served as a Denver Deputy District Attorney and was later appointed the First Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Colorado. Judge Caschette spent over 20 years in private practice as a trial lawyer handling matters involving complex business litigation, securities and health care fraud, professional malpractice, products liability, employment, and white collar criminal defense. He was appointed by Governor Ritter to the Colorado District Court bench in 2008.
