Since that time she has served as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney, a private practitioner, held elected office in Illinois and worked for the Harris Law Firm.She currently presides over the IV-D docket which includes matters of paternity and child support.

Magistrate Andrea Koppenhofer was appointed to the 19th District bench in July 2011. She received her undergraduate degree from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois in 1988 and Juris Doctorate from Chicago Kent College of Law in 1991.
