
Judge Marcelo A. Kopcow was appointed District Court Judge on July 1, 2005. Previously he served as a County Court Judge from January 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005 and the Presiding Greeley Municipal Court Judge from May 13, 2002 through December 31, 2003. Judge Kopcow served as a Deputy District Attorney from 1994 through 2002. Judge Kopcow graduated from Northeastern University-College of Criminal Justice receiving Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees then received his juris doctorate from the New York Law School.

Judge Kopcow is an appointed member of the State of Colorado Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) and State of Colorado Judicial Business Integrated Technology Services (JBITS) Board. He also serves on the Aims Community College Criminal Justice Advisory Board and is an Executive Board Member of Youth & Family Connections. Judge Kopcow previously was an appointed member of the Probation Advisory Committee and served as an Executive Board Member of the Colorado Bar Association.
Judge Kopcow currently is the Presiding Family Court Judge and handles cases in domestic relations, dependency and neglect and adoptions. Judge Kopcow is assigned to Division 9. |
