Jacob Edson - 18th Judicial District Judge

Jacob A. Edson is a District Court Judge in the 18th Judicial District, a position he has held since appointment by Governor Jared Polis in 2023.  His docket consists of criminal matters. Previously he served as a Magistrate in the 18^th Judicial District (2021-2023); Chief Deputy District Attorney (2015-2021); Senior Deputy District Attorney (2011-2015); and Deputy District Attorney (2005-2011) for the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.  Judge Edson earned his B.S. from Colorado State University in 1997, M.B.A. from Colorado State University in 1999, J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 2002, and M.C.J. from the University of Colorado-Denver in 2012.
