Judge Williams practiced law with private firms in Fort Collins from 1971 until his appointment as District Court Judge in August 2003. His practice was general at first and gradually focused on real estate and commercial entities and transactions, including private offerings of securities.
Judge Williams is active in numerous civic organizations and occasional guest lecturer at Colorado State University and local schools. He is the founder of the Family Center/La Familia, a nonprofit entity that provides day care tutoring, parent education and similar service, primarily to low income families.
Judge Williams is married and has two grown children. His hobbies include reading, golf, photography and travel.
