John "Clay" McKisson - Chief Judge

Judge McKisson was appointed to the Huerfano County Court bench in 2017, to the Third Judicial District Court bench in 2019, and was named Chief Judge in January 2023.

He previously worked as a prosecutor and in private practice.

In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, and playing guitar.
